How to change credit card details (expired, lost, stolen, change amount etc)
  • Refer to the E-mail from Payfast received by subscriber when a payment has successfully been collected (see red box):
    • When the link is clicked, the following PayFast window opens:

  • Enter your new card information, and click ‘Save card details’.

Note: Your subscription is set to renew automatically using your payment method on file. You can manage your subscription on your ACCOUNT page.

How to download your magazine

Log into your account

  1. Look to the far right hand corner of your screen, and click on ‘My Account’.
  2. Click ‘Log In’.
  3. You would have used an E-mail address to register … Fill this into the first block.
  4. You would also have set yourself a Password … Fill this into the second block.
  5. If you have forgotten your password click ‘Forgot your password’ and follow the steps.
  6. Press ‘Log In’.
  7. If you did this correctly, you will land on the ‘Dashboard’ page.

To download your magazine

  1. On the left hand side of the page you will see ‘Download Personal Finance’ and ‘Download Tax Breaks’.
  2. Click the link for the magazine(s) for which you are subscribed.
  3. Select the magazine that you wish to download by clicking the 'Download' link on the right.
  4. Depending on how your browser is configured, you might see a pop-up box with a 'Save As' button, which will then ask you to specify a location where you want your magazine to be saved.
  5. If you do not see this option, the magazine would have more than likely been saved in a default 'Documents' folder, which you should be able to find by opening File Explorer.
  6. Please refer to your browser's 'help' / 'settings' page for information on how to set a default folder or to activate the 'Save As' functionality.
  7. Once downloaded to your device (mobile phone, PC, laptop, tablet, etc.), you can then read your magazine at your convenience.
How to reinstate a failed payment (e.g. insufficient funds, expired card)

You would have received an 'Automatic renewal payment failed' notice (or similar) from Bellan Media indicating that your payment was unsuccessful.  Your account will therefore have been placed on hold.

To reinstate your account, please complete the following steps:

Log into your account

  1. Look to the far right hand corner of your screen, and click on ‘My Account
  2. Click ‘Log In

  4. You would also have set yourself a Password … Fill this into the second block
  5. If you have forgotten your password click ‘Forgot your password’ and follow the steps
  6. Press – ‘Log In
  7. If you did this correctly you will land on the ‘Dashboard’ page

To reinstate your payment

  1. Click on 'Subscriptions'.
  2. Click on the subscription number where the status is indicated as 'On Hold'.
  3. Scroll down to the 'Related orders' section and look for the line item marked 'Pending Payment'.
  4. Click on the blue block marked 'PAY'.  This will take you to the 'Checkout' page.
  5. Review your billing details and update where necessary.
  6. Scroll down and click 'Renew Subscription'.
  7. You will be taken to a PayFast landing page.  This is our SECURE PAYMENTS provider.
  8. Click on the option under 'How will you be paying today?' and enter your ACTIVE card details.
  9. Once entered, click 'Pay <amount>'.
  10. Depending on how your bank is set up, you may be asked to complete further verification.  Please follow the instructions.
  11. Once completed, PayFast will show a message 'Payment was Successful', and will then return you to the Bellan Media 'Checkout' page.
  12. Congratulations!  Your account is now active.
  13. If you scroll down, your next payment date will be shown under 'Related subscriptions'.
How to cancel your subscription
  1. During your sign-up you would have received a confirmation ORDER.
  2. On the same ORDER is subscription information … see example below.
  3. At this point you should have set your username and password.
  4. Click on my account page on your confirmation ORDER.​

  5. Login to your account using your login details.
  6. Click on Subscriptions and follow the path >>View>>Actions>> Cancel.
