STEVEN JONES
Steven is a practicing member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants, a SARS-registered Tax Practitioner, and an ordained minister in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa.
Steven’s corporate career spanned a variety of financial management and internal audit positions, mainly with Sage Life and Nampak. He also ran his own Accounting and Tax practice full-time for four years before responding to a calling to ordained ministry, where he was appointed to the Methodist Church’s finance unit executive in addition to being a minister.
Steven’s love for the written word began at an early age, and writing found expression through many aspects of finance and in ministry. What started as a hobby developed into writing opportunities, and culminated in the editorship of Moneyweb’s two print publications – which are now proudly owned by Bellan Media’s since March 2019. As the director responsible for editorial and finance, Steven’s primary focus is the production and editing of Bellan Media’s two flagship titles, Personal Finance and Tax Breaks.
Steven’s accounting and tax practice included a number of individual and small business clients, as well as corporate clients including the Professional Provident Society and Yum! Restaurants International.
